Built on over 600 acres adjacent to a 108 MW Solar Field, the High Desert Battery Energy Storage System was constructed as a 200Mw Hour System, designed to provide 50Mw of energy for 4 hours. The site consisted of three rows of seven battery cubicles and one DC termination cabinet at the end of each assembly with separate foundations for each row.

Clark Bros Inc provided civil and structural services including site surveying, structural over excavation, finish grading and backfill, construction of interior access road and foundations for battery and transformer pads.
