Entrepreneur of the Year

As a leader of a third-generation company established over 80 years ago, Lawrence Calrk has made a tremendous impact on the business and it’s employees. Lawrence assumed the role of President and CEO of Clark Bros., Inc. at an early age while originally focusing on land leveling projects within the Central Valley’s agricultural community. Initially only employing a handful of workers, payroll has reached over 300 people just a decade later under Lawrence’s leadership.

During this time, Lawrence determined that he didn’t just want to be an employer; he thirsted to make an impact on the environment while building something he and his team could be proud of. Lawrence changed the company’s focus away from agriculture work and moved towards core infrastructure projects. He initiated this through constructing renewable energy, both utility grade solar and wind, and building state-of-the-art water and wastewater recycling plants. The company also expended not just throughout California, but across the United States.

Lawrence’s vision and dogged determination to do his part to provide clean energy, abundant water resources, and create opportunities for his people are the driving forces behind the many years of continued growth and success.
