The New Exchequer dam is 326-foot-high concrete gravity arch structure originally completed in 1926. Comprised of a main dam and saddle dike, the repair work consisted of remediation of the New Exchequer Dam parapet wall joints, dam access gallery leakage, new Exchequer powerhouse corner wall spall, the powerhouse removable section wall cracks, the armoring at the upper crossing access road and three concrete spillways.

The McSwain Dam, located approximately 6 miles downstream of the New Exchequer dam, has a spillway of ungated reinforced concrete cresting at 474 feet. Repairs to the dam’s spillway included crack repairs, spall repairs, delamination repairs, void repairs and concrete armoring repairs.
