  • Year2022-2023

  • LocationCarmel, CA

The Carmel Area Wastewater District (CAWD) rehabilitation project primarily involved the replacement of select electrical and mechanical equipment with either identical or substantially similar equipment. The upgraded equipment was strategically installed to serve the existing Influent Pump Station, Headworks, Chlorination Building, and Effluent Pump Station.

Additionally, the project encompassed the demolition of three existing sludge tanks and a small storage building. In place of one demolished tank, a new sludge tank was installed, boasting a storage capacity of approximately 75,000 gallons. The tanks being demolished had held capacities of about 70,000 gallons, 188,000 gallons, and 70,000 gallons, respectively.
