  • LocationPinal County, AZ

Spanning over 2,000 acres, the solar and battery energy storage system (BESS) is poised to generate over 900,000 MWh of energy annually, sufficient to power nearly 63,750 homes. On completion, the project will have a 300 MW AC , four-hour BESS capacity.

Clark Bros Inc., provided all civil and structural work for the project including erosion control, grading, inverter/transformer pads, cube foundations, transformer foundations, electrical trenching, and grounding. Over 15k tons of base rock were installed and 30,000 cubic yards of earthwork subgrade done prior to forming over 30,000 square feet of forms. A total of 135 battery cubes and 87 inverter pads were formed and poured. 55,000 linear feet of conduit were trenched out and backfilled. The project team accomplished pouring over 500 cubic yards every Tuesday and Thursday to maintain schedule.
